Metaknight's Infinite Cape glitch is banned, if a player is found using this glitch they are subject to penalties.

If a game ends with Bowser doing his suicide klaw and it ends in
sudden death, the sudden death will be ignored and that game will count as a
win for Bowser.

these two rules will be law so learn them, more are to come until the ultimatum is known

ok for the 1v1 match's here is the rundown.....(well about a guess-tamation)

4 stock
no items

If on a map there is a glich such as on temple where someone can be hit hard enough to be thrown "through" the map aka just falling though to map then the match will restart with the lives that each player has at the time before the fall.

now for the maps
like game battles here are some of the fallowing maps

Battlefield - Stock

Final Destination - Stock

Lylat Cruise - Stock

Smashville - Stock

Yoshi's Island - Stock

Pokemon Stadium: Melee - Stock

now to be fair these maps will be picked at random so don't worry, oh and the music really doesnt matter, really it will be the one I like ^_^........now can you say "Snake-Dash" muahahahhahaaa gotta love that C-4 to your face!!!!

Btw the reason for using game battles and smash wiki is to insure that every match is fair (and don't think about chain grabs and snakes Awesome dash since they are skills that are learned like wave dashing in SSBM) This tournament is for the fun of all gamers, well smash brothers since you already know if you going into this tournament, so go into the tournament with the joy of facing a opponent who will truly test you skill.

It all depends. I can say it would definatly be possible, but the gods aren't smiling in favor of it. However it's still early, what I said might get flipped on it's back pretty soon, or later, who knows. And I didn't know the forums start to come back to life again >.

Well I see we have some fighters posting eh? ok 2 v 2 sounds great but its not that easy, to be honest 1v1 is not either, well really the whole dame thing is a cluster of super chaos, (which is found just about everywhere) but hey ya never know what we may come up with ^_^

but for you fighters out there worried about your skills not being up to par look no more, (if you haven't found it by now) A web site made for wii owners to connect with random people around the world. This is perfect to find new talent to test yourself. It has all the Wii wi-fi games you expect. But no SSBB because that last sentence was a very big lie.
it's free and fun but there are times when no one is on it but thats mostly very late at night or early. its good during the evening and during weekends and vacations.

oh and if you wanted to know my name on mapwii it is (ki)bomberman0 and my main is SNAKE!! I know he's too cool for lower case but hay you all know that ^_^ I hope to meet some very tough fighters or brawlers (but I like saying fighters better since "brawlers" remind me of a very bad anime)

http://mapwii.com/wii-number/index.cfm

p.s. the forums are coming back, just watch it, after I Snake dash yo face LOL j/k!!

Hey five people who happen to read this, Im just wondering how does everyone train for tournaments like SSBB? I my self train by mapwii and now gamebattles. I know I wont be able to take part in the tournament myself, but still when you do get a chance to play me that day I want it to be a great match.

I usually just play a game against the computer once a day. If I could play against people, that would be better.

But you know I'll win, I beat you last time. Unless brawl is just so different that I have no idea what's going on. I can't compete in the tournament anyways though.

Well both of you would get owned by me, trust me, with Pit or Marth you're going down.

But regardless have we found any more rules for the tournament?

Cool, I could always lurk around Youtube and look out for any more glitches we may have ban people from using. Hopefully there aren't too many, at least none as bad as the Mr. Game and Watch one.

As far as I've seen, Mr. Game and Watch no longer has that glitch. So no worries.

2 on 2 would be a cool idea if we were playing for no prize whatsoever, but I think the core idea behind SSBB is every man for himself. When the game is played online, the players are mandated to play against 3 other players, plus there may not be enough Wiis for a 2 vs 2, moreover there will not be enough Wiis for 1 vs. 1 because its just too time consuming considering the amount of people that are going to be playing in this competition. Not to mention a 4 one-man battle is one of the integrated complex battles that if one is going to enter a competition should know how to easily succeed in. This tournament will be what separates the boys from the men so a 2 on 2 would be kind of overrated.

the rules at the top are old. Here are the real rules
3 Stock 6 min, 1v1 Double elimination, (I know the tournament page says single, but trust me) No items, or smash ball. and for anything else just ask

Look out for an official topic soon about this, don't make a new topic for the rules. The rules are still not set in stone, it's mainly for organization.

We'll have fancy official threads for everything, SSBB included. It'll look nice, so pretty much things that have been said here are the same, but it'll all be in one first post, instead of many posts saying the first one is wrong.
