ok so these rules state that all games will be played on the PS3 but TvC isn't on the PS3, it's Wii exclusive, so do the same rules apply? do we have to bring our own controller? i can understand that with the other systems to avoid connection time but all wii controllers are wireless anyway. www.AcmeComics.com

Haha you have a point there. It would be awesome if Tatsunoko was on the ps3 then it would probably more popular and less laggy online :P. But thanks for the heads up. We'll fix it asap. The same rules would apply just won't be on the ps3 we were just stating the general fighting rules.

Also, most of the fighting guidelines are double elimination. Will Tatsunoko be different? |

If we had the time we would love to do Double Elmination but unfortunately Tatsunoko would be Single Elimination. GoW2 Tournament Director 2009 & 2010

still don't know why you'd consider removing giants...people complaining just don't know how to beat them :)
here are the official evo rules for 2011, no problems with giants...

Again, no problems with giants. Watch top tier play, no one wins with giants. Don't ban something just because people don't know how to crash or tech hit. |

Hey guys! This tournament did have a lot of bumps yesterday. While trying to stay as neutral as I could yesterday, I also believe that giant characters should remain playable. If you are playing any type of fighting game, there are bound to be "cheap" characters. You just have to know how to beat them.
I would also like to suggest changing the rules on the structure of the tournament from best 2 out of 3 single elimination to 1 round double elimination. This way, if somesome does decide to play with a giant character, no one will feel cheated. This method worked in every fighting tournament I participated in yesteday, and the tournament went quickly and smoothly. They can have up to 64 players and still be done in the same frame of time.
I hope to see and play against everyone next year. Until then, keep playing!

Okay, it's obvious I need to do my research if I am to host TvC again. I think I'll have to barrow the game for a bit. But for right now nothing is band I'v deleted my old post and I won't say what the rules will be like next year till later but I'll be checking out what EVO does because I want to be fair as possible
Thank you all for coming I had a blast running the tournament and I would like to also say that out of both tournaments we had nothing go missing XD You guys ROCK XD |
