Due to the lack of time I have for SC2, I will not be able to make it a double elimination. Sorry guys, since it is best 2 out of 3.

Also make sure you have a battle.net account that has StarCraft II. We do not have accounts for people. Even though that sounds like thats common sense, I still have to stress this.

If you had another volunteer helping you with the tournament would this be possible? I know a couple people volunteering that may be interested, and I also know a few people who would be happy to help run this. Would really love to see double elim since the turn out is looking to be quite large.

Yes please make it double elimination. Single elimination is pretty crazy with the random things that could happen especially in mirror matchups

I'm pretty sure it's possible to do double elim if the time limit is the whole day instead of 10 am-4 pm. Last year the single-elim tournament was finished by like 3 pm if I'm not mistaken.

the tournament is slow in the first couple of rounds due to slower games but moves pretty fast (around 20-30 min per match) after that.

If we have to end the tournament by 4 pm to make room for another tournament or something then double elim will definitely take too long.

Something else to consider is to have a bracket with randomly-seeded players. Last year was seeded in order of signups and felt too... casual... for a tournament.

It's really easy, just copy-paste the list of players here and it's a hassle-free way of keeping track of progress.

I'm pretty sure there isn't anything going on in the room after SC2--if you take a look at the program on CGS's facebook, only SC2 is going on in room 202. Double elimination would be so much better.
