Hey everyone Sami Pickard here, Halo tournament director for this year. Thanks for being patient with me to get these rules and settings up, but here you go. Also I will highlight that everything will be ZBNS (Zero Bloom/No Sprint)

- Rounds 1 and 2 of the FFA will be ran Split Screen, and rounds 3 and 4 will be ran Full Screen.

- Rounds 1, 2, and 3 will be ran 5 mins long with the 4th and final round lasting 15 mins.

- Top 4 of every round will advance.

- Incase of a tie tiebreaker rules are as follows: Most Points, Most Kills, Least Deaths, and Most Assists, if need be after that we will go to a 1 v 1 to 1 kill with a 5 min time limit.


Maps:

CGS Zealot FFA

Score to Win: Unlimited

Primary Weapon: DMR

Secondary Weapon: None

Time Limit: 15 Minutes or 5 Minutes

Player Speed: 120%

Jump Height: 110%

Player Gravity: 150%

Suicide Penalty: -1
If MLG comes out with either new gametypes and/or settings and/or maps we will review accordingly.

*Please note that even if CGS is in the gametype name there is no change at all from the MLG setting.. To be plain and simple we just wanted to add our name since it's our event.

I would recommend using the same ffa rules that they used from last year with some changes (such as no bloom/no sprint)
And same for 4s and using mlg playlist settings (which you can dl easy)

Will ffa have no sprint/bloom?
And is there a way we can dl the map for zealot (I'm guessing/hoping thats the only map being used for ffas)
Because there should be the portal from gold 1 to gold 2, and shouldn't be able to get out of the map.
I would guess (not sure obviously) that a majority would rather play ffa settings that mlg used (the only tweaking be removal of bloom/sprint movement speed and think thats it) And at least the shotgun being taken out, I'm sure the better player will win regardless of it being the current settings or you changing it but would think ppl wouldn't enjoy these settings as much.

Yes there will be no sprint/bloom I'm going to keep this as close to current MLG settings as possible but also keep it in the realm of enjoyable for everyone. Also I'm going to ask that you bear with me on these rule postings as it will be kinda free flowing for a while. I need to have something up but I am sure a few things will get changed over the next week when I have a chance to sit down and really get a handle on it. It will be on Zealot. We're going to download game types for the tournaments. Sorry about the link. I'm trying to get in to edit that entire post as it was completely messed up. But I'm having problems with it and will have it fixed on Tuesday.

There was an error on the FFA [5MIN} and [15MIN] game types. I didn't add radar. I fixed it and added it to my file share.

In case you aren't already doing this and/or this isn't too much trouble
Last time the ffa was set up was, the first 8 ppl to sign up played each other, then the next 8, and so on and on.
Most teams sign up together meaning they will play each other. Its not a huge deal to me, but a suggestion would be (again if it's not too much trouble) randomize it someway (picking #s out of a hat?) or something like that so teams don't play each other in the heat. I doubt it would happen but some people might try to feed there teams kills or something idk (this hasn't happened to me b4 but I have seen it done)

Also I do appreciate your fast responses and changing the rules (and not just b/c it caters mlg players)

Don't worry my seeding will be random and your no trouble at all. Sorry for the short response. Low on sleep been up for two days straight so that's all I got for you. I'll explain it later about how I will seed if you need me to but for now just know it's not going to be straight down the registration list.

Okay so we are going to kinda beta test something this year to inform everyone of when tournaments are starting and who we need. For those who have cell phones you can sign up for our alert system that I will use to send out before the tournament starts, who I need there, etc... Just text @haloffa to the number (209) 390-1049 the @ has to be before it. I'll also have flyers for how to sign up for it at the event but signing up before will save you the trouble! I will have the same system for 4v4 same number tag is @haloteam for those we are signed up for 4v4, I will be posting this on the 4v4 forum also.
