Halo 5 Rules are to be updated once the Tournament Director has completed the rules list.

**THESE RULES WILL BE CHANGING! Please check back often for updated rules on this tournament!**

•Any setting not listed below should not be changed from its default state within the private match lobby.
•The hosting team is responsible for setting up a private lobby match with the correct settings and the correct map. If the hosting team starts the game with the wrong settings, it will result in penalties for that map/mode. Please refer to the Penalties section of this rules page.
oSettings that are in BOLD have been changed from their default, in game value.

Game Play
________________________________________
1.Players who move their Character outside of the normal boundaries of a Map May Forfeit the Game. Moving outside of the normal boundaries of a Map includes but is not limited to part of the Characters body passing through what should be a non-permeable surface or object, and moving into any area from which your Character registers shots on an opponent who is not able to register shots on your Character.

2.Players may only use the default version of each weapon. Use of any weapon variant that has been Statistically rebalanced or any other restricted item is subject to the restricted items penalties listed in the Penalties section of this rules page.

3.If a Player finds that they are unable to Aim Down Sights (ADS) properly, they should notify a Tournament Official immediately. If the Tournament Official is able to confirm that this has occurred, they will determine whether the Round/Game should be restarted, the Game win should be awarded to a Team, or the conditions under which the Round/Game should be resumed.

4.After a Private Match has been created, only Players on the two Teams and MLG Staff members may be invited/join. If a Player who is not a registered member of one of the Teams (ineligible player) joins a Game, the Game must be ended. If a Player is found to have invited an ineligible Player to a Game, they will Forfeit the Game.

5.If a player lags out during the first 30 second or before the first kill the map or round, the game should be ended and restarted for all game modes.
The team who lost the player should either leave the game, switch to spectator mode, or end the game if that team is host.

6.If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds and/or after the first kill, the match must continue.
The missing player may be reinvited to the game.

7.Any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a Forfeit of a Game, Match, or Ban from CGS. Punishable unsportsmanlike behavior includes, but is not limited to, excessive use of foul or degrading language. In addition, breaking any rule may result in a Forfeit of a Round/Game, Forfeit of a Match, or Ban from CGS.

All Matches

1.If a Match is played before the scheduled time, it will not be considered a warm-up and will count as the official results. Teams may not delay the start of a Match beyond its scheduled start time, without the approval of a Tournament Official.

2.Teams may delay a Match between Rounds/Games for up to two minutes. Teams can request that a Tournament Official enforce this two-minute time limit. After two minutes of a Tournament Official enforced delay, if the delaying Team is not present, they will Forfeit the Match.

3.If the Host incorrectly ends a Game, their Team May Forfeit the Game.

4.To get help with a No Show issue, you MUST notify CGS staff. Staff must verify the No Show.

5.For any allegations of cheating, wrong weapons used, glitching, etc., you MUST notify CGS Staff.

Reporting

1.Both teams must report the Match result within 5 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the Match results on time may results in a Forfeit. Please notify the CGS Halo 5 Tournament Director of your match results.

Penalties

1.Settings:
For all game modes, the hosting team will forfeit the entire map if the incorrect setting(s) affected the game.
If a map is hosted out of order, the hosting team forfeit the map that was played out of order.
In example, if Truth is second map and played first, the hosting team will forfeit Truth. First map will need to be played.

2.Restricted Items:
For all game modes, use of any restricted item will result in the loss of the entire map if it affected game play.


3.Equipment
Players may not use a Turbo controller, a Button Macro controller or Keyboard/Mouse. Turbo controllers allow Players to press a button that results in their Character performing a set of actions that would normally require the Player to press the same button multiple times. Button Macro controllers allow Players to press a button that results in their Character performing a set of actions that would normally require the Player to press multiple buttons.


4. Lack of Cooperation
Failing to comply with Support Staffs directions and/or requests may result in the forfeit of round(s), a map, or the entire match.

5. Failure to Report a Tournament Match
Any team leader/captain that fails to report their tournament match within ten (5) minutes after the conclusion of their match or upon receiving notification from support staff to do so, may receive a forfeit.
