OHH BOY. DUEL CORE INTELS WILL GET YOU AT LEAST 100 FPS ON STEP-MANIA.

sorry to sound sarcastic but come on...starcraft? stepmania? QUAKE 3 ARENA??? If you're going to get sponsored PC's at least play some games that I couldnt run on windows 95. Ya, you'll probably play quake 4 and unreal 2k4...blah,blah,blah, but at MAGFEST earlier this month in DC they also had the intel sponsored PC's. 18 people showed up for Quake 4, 17 people showed up for WC3:DOTA, and 45 people showed up for CS (check the article on gotfrag if you dont believe me). Im pretty sure the numbers speak for themselves.

Im well aware that MAGFEST was cs 1.6, but BRING BACK CSS AS A MAIN EVENT!

(and hate to say it, but no cs = no show for everyone ive talked to =/ )

These gaming machines will NOT be used for Step Mania, OR Quake, OR starcraft.

These will be in CS:S room (Check the floor plan under the news tab) and will be running random mini-tournaments all day long.

Sorry we couldn't bring it this year, but next year we are hoping to have the new building dedicated to JUST PC's.

(That is a huge LAN)

Spaz, we hope to be able to have more rooms available next year to provide a proper CS:S tournament.

I will check with our PC sponsors to see if they can run a small CS:S tournament for you and your friends.

Our event will have 1,500 - 5,000 gamers in attendance. With so many gamers and so many companies involved it is basically imposible for us to list all the events that will be offered at this years expo.

I hope you will make the 45 minute drive to check out our event and give it the chance it deserves, but if not then hopefully the even bigger and better g2e'08 will peak your interest.

Also how was MagFest? I wanted to go but organizing G2Expo made it impossible. We did manage to get one of our partners to hand out 1,000 or so G2Expo flyers. I hope we can include bands into our event next year like MagFest has been doing for years.

Thanks,
Michael Everett, Creative Director

Don't worry Spaz. Those PCs should have Steam on 'em and I'm pretty sure they're going to have everything they have to offer from that program downloaded beforehand. So people can still have a CS:S or CS 1.6 tourney. It's just that it's not an official tournament. That's all.

magfest was great, and the flyers that were passed around were how we found out about g2expo.

Ill be in attendance regardless of what tournys are going on, but that means that my teammates in DC wont even consider making a trip without solid confirmation for cs (cant blame them).
