Sparking Imaginations

The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is holding our 9th annual STEAM Festival on Sunday, November 5th at the Maxwell Center from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The FREE event is open to public and will help the community, students, and adults, to understand the potential in the areas of STEAM; to help them to build confidence and competence among their peers; and to foster a spirit of scientific inquiry.

The afternoon will be a FUN filled family day of all things Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math. We will have many opportunities for attendees to participate with hands on activities including CO2 powered Dragster racing, digital gaming, 4H Robotics demonstration, business & student team competitions, and many other exhibitors.

We are working with the Wayne County Public Schools, Wayne Community College, University of Mount Olive, local charter, private and home school organizations, as well as many area businesses for this event.
