These are the proposed official rules for the Halo 3 FFA tournament.
The player cap will be 64 players. The top 4 winners of each round will move on to the next round until we have a definitive winner.
All maps will use the MLG Halo 3 v5 game settings.
If there happens to be a tie between the bottom two people, there will be a sudden death match with the first person to get 5 kills wins the match.
This will be updated frequently. Feel free to comment on these rules.

You can register for any tournaments that are in the same room as each other. Halo FFA and 4v4 are in the same room so Yes you can register for both!!

It says MLG rules, and the only MLG FFA map for halo 3 is the Guardian FFA map from Dallas... |

just use Guardian, all the other maps for FFA are pretty gay

Only do Guardian I agree, it is one of the only FFA Maps worth a crap. Unless you guys have hybrid, then that isnt that bad either. |

Ok well as of right now each game will be slayer on Guardian unless anyone else has an objection to this. If not ill set it in stone mon, so that gives the whole weekend for everyone to decide on this. IF not i have each round with different maps so its not like it will take anymore time to make the rounds. |

1- Gaurdian
2- narrows
3- the pit
and maybe CONSTRuct
but first 3 is must! also please make it slayer cause i hate chasing after the oddball and camping on the king of the hill requires no SKILL! dont u guys agree!

especially to that proffesor dude..

using other maps than Guardian due to size of others just isnt good for FFA.....
Quad, TBH i dont believe any of those maps would be good for FFA, just my 2 cents. I am pretty educated on the game, I would go with that

I think oddball requires skill. I don't think king of the hill does.

odd ball FFA requiring skill?
1st of all, if u play on default settings all objectives are 1 hit beat downs. so to say that running around in an FFA with an unstoppable melee weapon takes skill
Seeing who can rack up the most kills in an FFA by the timelimit shows skill, which FFA is partly skill and partly luck
But the people that shouldnt win, wont win

Ok here is what im going to do. If you want it to be just guardian post Guardian. If you want it more than Guardian say Mixed. You can only post once and whichever one has the most votes by Wednesday night will be which one I choose. It only going to be slayer anyways because its basically the only way to go for FFA. |

Guardian! You know I am with you Hacker lol.
Umm like I said I would post in here like in the other one, do this. 5 minute FFAs up until the finals then the finals will be 15 minute FFAs. This is what was done at the one MLG FFA event. I have the MLG FFA Guardian as well if you want that. It starts with BRs and the only thing on the map is BRs and Carbines. So no one can camp up with a mauler or a sniper. Everyone has exactly the same. No unfair advantage. Also with this map, it doesn't spawn anyone beside each other. It has spread out spawns at the beginning so that you do not spawn and get assassinated at the beginning. :) hope I helped again! |

Thanks Hacker lol With these settings it will make the FFA run fast and smooth. Plus you can easily have more time for the Halo 3 4v4. Which means that you can have best of 3s in it easier.

Guardian!! I also think that it should be just Carbine and BR. But I think 10 minutes for each match is a lot more sensible, cause sometimes it doesn't really get good till around 4-5 minute mark. imo. and then 15 minutes for the finals.

well it is going to be mlg and the mlg settings have the matches at 5 minutes with no kill cap and then it has a different one for the final match which is 15 minutes, so thats what its going to be. |
