Why can't we use a scuf controller. Pro's use at bigger events than this one. The only thing that it has is the paddles and the trigger stops. |

Hey I just want to say is that no one doesn't want to play frag cup rules, anyone that come to this, they don't want to play frag cup. 4 teams that are coming want to play MLG Varient and the other teams too. If you change your mind to change it to MLG Varient, just reply back and I will post the rules for you. All this is facts but my opinion is that I want to play MLG Varient. If you do keep frag cup rules could you atleat change the Banned stuff to this:

Dear Jrock,
SCUF Controllers should be allowed because SCUF Controllers are Tournament Legal. MLG Dallas, MLG Providence, MLG Raleigh, and etc. Even the LAN's events like UMG, do allow those SCUF Controllers. They are not modded to be unstoppable. All they do is replaces the A and B button to be on the bottom of a controller. This doesn't make you a unstoppable player. For example, if you have a player that's using a SCUF controller vs a player that claws the controller. Both players are going to do the same effect to each other. The trigger stops don't make you zoom in faster when you are using a regular controller. All it does is make's it more comfortable to the owner of the controller. The SCUF Controller is TOURNAMENT LEGAL, so why can't we use it. Hope you understand why I am writing this to you.

SCUF Controllers should be allowed. They're tournament legal. Says so on the box and the website.

These are not NGC rules. NGC maps have yemen instead of Cargo for hardpoint, slums on capture the flag, and search and destroy maps are Standoff, Express

I apologize that there are Black Ops questions I will email the directors once more to check this thread once again. For now I would look to the http://www.twitch.tv/ncgpro for an example of how the rules will be. They are currently running a tournament in Winston-Salem so they may not be real responsive to our threads right now. But they will be running the event. However if you have any questions or comments please place them here so we can discuss the rules. Our goal is to put together something everyone can enjoy!

We need to run MLG Variant settings not NCG or FragCup settings. Those settings aren't competitive. Scorestreaks take the competitiveness from the game.

BigMike and Others! I hope you guys are still considering attending our event. We are going to stick with the rules posted. They ban most if not all of what is requested along with modded controllers. I know you may be able to use them in MLG tournaments but it really doesn't seem fair to allow modded controllers if everyone doesn't get to use them. We provide high quality OEM XBOX controllers so you shouldn't have any problems. They are only used at our event. Please accept our apologies but these rules have been approved by professional gamers and used at many other tournaments. If you still have specific problems please let us know. This Black Ops Tournament will be our first to be livecasted and is going to use the most equipment we have ever allocated for any one game. I hope you will all consider going as we do our best to make this the largest black ops tournament possible!

Dear Who ever is in charge of this tourney,
Scuf's are the same as clawing the controller, most of the people coming to this event are going to claw the controller, if you don't know what that is just ask me, I will tell you. When you claw the controller, you will use your index finger for the YXBA buttons, your thumb on your right hand will not move from the right analog stick. The SCUF is for people that claw or don't claw. I clawed the controller and used the SCUF controller and it was pretty much the same. So if you have a guy using a SCUF and a guy clawing the controller, it will be the same, if they both jump, its based off gun skill. Also the SCUF is tournament legal. All them other LAN's event like UMG Chicago will let you use the scuf and your LAN event is the same size as that one I think. Even MLG Dallas, MLG Raliegh, and etc. Those guys will let you use it. The SCUF has no rapid fire mod. Thank you |

This tournament is nowhere near the size of UMG Chicago. They had 61 teams show up for that. At those tournaments you can actually win cash also. This tournament was ran great last year. No need to change it now.

All 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners also receive custom wearable medals or I might go with custom dog tags this year. So they can have our logo and the year on it in addition to the place!
Also you will be recognized on stage (view our awards ceremony on our homepage, it is the video that loads by default) in front of 400 fellow gamers!
Lastly our partners do a great job supplying prizes such as headsets for first place monster and dust off products for 2nd and 3rd and then we include lots of other stuff that we receive from our partners. We don't announce specific prizes because we honestly do not know what all we will have until just days before the event. We have 150 winners to find prizes for and we do our absolute best!!
We are all volunteers and we want our event to be about the fun gaming community not about the $$$. So we are proud to fill up our Call of Duty tournament every year without paying people to come like everyone else has to do. Come enjoy some bands, speakers, exhibitors, and a great tournament all at one event for just $10 :-)

Dear Who ever is in charge of this tournament,
The Sensor Grenades should be banned because its unfair. When you throw it, it shows a Big Red Triangle on your mini-map for about 6-7 seconds. This is unfair for Search and Destroy. If you could ban it, this would be fair for SnD. Thank you |
