Map Pool

Haven (Infinity TS, Extraction)

Tournament Settings


Player Speed = 110%
Sensor Mode = Nothing
Suicide Penalty = -1 Point in TS, 5 Second Penalty in OBJ
Betrayal Penalty = -1 Point in TS, 5 Second Penalty in OBJ
Random Ordnance = Enabled
Random Ordnance Minimum and Maximum Timers = 120 seconds
Friendly Fire = Enabled
Team Changing = Not Allowed
Betrayal Booting = Disabled
Map Loadouts = Disabled
Death Cam = Disabled
Loadout Usage = Game Loadouts

Infinity 1 = DMR, Magnum, 2x Frags, No AA, Resupply, Explosives

was that an attempt at a pick up line? haha. MLG is doing a ton of testing right now with maps and gametypes and should have some solid settings in the next few weeks. On another note I havent turn xbox on in a week. This doesnt even appeal to me right now LOL

OK so we have finally the long awaited MLG v1 settings, and the AGL v5 setting to choose from for this tournament. However, there is a lot of things stripped from the "Out of the Box" settings for these settings. I have talked to another player that has been coming to CGS's for a long time and asked what kind of settings would you like to see for this tournament. "Close to Out of the box settings" he says. I feel the same way cause I would like to see "Out of the box settings played and a high level. So here is what i am going to present to Mike and Sam that we do this year.

Solace: Infinity Slayer, CTF 3
Relay (Played on full screen only: Infinity Slayer, CTF 5
Haven: Infinity Slayer, King of the Hill
Adrift: CTF 5
Abandon: Infinity Slayer, King of the Hill

The only things that will be changed is on Solace CTF the default caps for flag is 5. Plan on knocking that down to 3 due to the map being a Medium to Large map. In Oddball the carry time is 2 points per second so we decided to keep the 200 point goal but only have one point per second carry time across all Oddball maps.

The in game time limits for Infinity Slayer, and King of the Hill are 15 minutes long. However, the in game time limits for CTF 3 and CTF 5 will be set to 30 mins with a 15 min regulation time only to go into sudden death if the game is tied, or the losing time at the 15 min mark is down by one flag cap and the winning team's flag is away from home.

Seeing that we have 16 XBox's and 16 TV's to work with I would like to do a Double Elimination tournament for 4 v 4 this year. However due to advertising for a single elimination we have to say with that. This just means that the tournament should move a lot faster. Keep in mind that all these times are estimated. When a Heat and or Round is over you have 5 minutes to report and setup for your next match.

Round 1 Heat 1 (Split): 1:00 - 1:45
Round 1 Heat 2 (Split): 1:50 - 2:35
Round 2 (Split): 2:40 - 3:25
Round 3 (Full): 3:30 - 4:30
Finals - Round 4 (Full): 4:35 - 5:35

Rounds 1 and 2 will be played best of 3, and rounds 3 and 4 will be best of 5.

Here are the Round by Round gametypes:
-Round 1: Solace Infinity Slayer, Adrift CTF 5, Haven Infinity Slayer

-Round 2: Haven Infinity Slayer, Solace CTF 3, Abandon Infinity Slayer

-Round 3: Relay CTF 5, Abandon Infinity Slayer, Haven King of the Hill, Adrift CTF 5, Solace Infinity Slayer

-Round 4: Adrift CTF 5, Relay Infinity Slayer, Abandon King of the Hill, Solace CTF 3, Haven Infinity Slayer


Making your own loadouts: We will aloud player to create there own loadout during the 5 minute setup time they are aloud to setup their headsets, controller settings and profile. The only thing that we are taking away from loadouts is the blotshot. If a player is caught using the blotshot the team that that player is on will be forfeit that game and the whole team will be given a warning. If any member of that team is caught using the blotshot in another match (doesn't matter if its the same person that used the blotshot last time or not) the team will be DQ'd from the tournament.

I will be putting the setting in my file share sometime today i will post when they are up.


That is pretty much everything that i would like to say about the settings. However these are not official until I get approve from Mike and Sam and it is posted in the top post of this thread. However please go ahead and comment below what you think. I don't care if you plan on attending this tournament or not cause I want these setting to appeal to all people that plan on watching this. We are planning on Live streaming it as well. So go ahead make an account and post your comments about it. Thanks.

I remember when I was a MLG fan boy. The MLG settings are terrible if you are going to run anything besides default infinity slayer then I would run the AGL settings.

I have been coming to this tournament since 2008? I have always wanted the most balanced settings and MLG settings arent that at all. MLG settings are nostalgia in people that played halo 2 if they are even old enough to remember that.

It is ultimately up to Sam on what she wants to run for the tourney since she is in charge. I think my opinion out weighs a majority of people that would be going to this tournament, not to sound arrogant but I have been in the competitive community for a long time and thats how I feel.

I agree with billy agl settings or kalvins settings the mlg settings are awful. If I was 16 again playing h2 and loving halo I'd play mlg settings but not now too bare of settings to make the game fun...

Yea I've been playing since Halo 2 and playing mlg settings isn't nostalgic. The reason they start with the br is because they don't want to have cross map standoffs. The DMR slows down gameplay and with the br not as efficient long range will allow for more map movement

Whats wrong with the MLG settings? They removed the DMR from the starting loadouts and made it BR only. This puts more emphasis on team shooting and you cant just DMR someone across the map.

Im fine with anything really except Infinity Slayer. I think MLG has the best settings though.

MLG is basically infinity slayer barebones. super boring and not as competitive as AGL settings.

I think infinity slayer with boltshot/camo removed should b e played.

before this event mlgv2 might even be out, just keep it semi vanilla its more enjoyable and will bring more numbers.

Okay good morning you crazy Halo players. I am leaning towards AGL settings right now. I will have a more exact answer up for you all tomorrow evening at the earliest. In the mean time again I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm but please remember if it is not posted by me then it is not official information and if it is rules unless they are posted by me at the top of the forum then again they are not official. Please do not jump ahead of yourself. I know you are ready for rules but I know you would rather have rules that you are all happy with to start with than rules having to change a million times before the summit.
