The FanDames Initiative will be in attendance at the 10th Annual Carolina Games Summit! The FanDames will be exhibiting their Cosplay works and judging our cosplay contestants for our yearly contest on February 3rd at the Paramount Theatre.

The FanDames span across North Carolina and Exhibit at many conventions with their Cosplay Repair Station. The FanDames Initiative is an a non-profit organization that empowers women in the geek and nerd fandom. We actively support all women in our community by creating a safe and healthy environment for self-expression.

The FanDames Initiative formed in June/July 2014 with the combined efforts of former Carolina D20 Girls. The girls sought to create an organization with the mission of creating fellowship among all women geeks across all fandoms. How do we do this? We volunteer at events and conventions, host contests, lead panels and generally bring a positive attitude everywhere we go, its that simple.

About Carolina Games Summit
Carolina Games Summit® will be held Saturday, February 4, 10AM – 8:30PM and Sunday, February 5, 2017 10AM - 6:00PM in downtown Goldsboro, NC. This hybrid event will once again delivers industry speakers, video game tournaments, concerts, exhibition booths, cosplay, educational sessions, and trading card games.
