Just an FYI for those of you traveling in for the 2010 Game Summit, Hampton Inn is completely booked and has no rooms available at all for that weekend, but Holiday Inn Express next door still have plenty, if you reserve ahead of time, 88$ a night unless you are military, (10$ more than last year at Hampton Inn).

look at little miss informative lol. you guys should make it no tubes this year. and allow spectating if its gonna be a competitive tournament it should be a competitive atmosphere.

Sorry man, spectating has been tried in the past, there is simply not enough room. We have over 1,400 people here and our tournament rooms are barely big enough for the equipment, competitors, and tournament directors.
We are working to post better results on the web after the event is done so you can see how your favorite players/team did!

i attended the tournament last year. there was plenty of room in the tournament rooms. plenty of room for spectators. and most tournaments are double elimination. im not saying to make it for my standards but it gives every team a fair second chance if they were to have a bad first map.

Mike you also weren't in the COD room which you are competing in this year. There is a reason why there is no spectating. And as Michael said there will be no spectating room. And once the rules are set for the tournament they will be posted on here, and on the PMS forums, and they will be emailed to Elite Zone as well. |

ohh and the reason why it is single elimination is because the time frame, and the set up is a lot different on this game. It is best of 3 maps. it isn't just one map and you are out.

It was due to lack of player management on my side. It was my first hosting ever so I spent a lot of time on the rules, the time it would take to run it. But I sadly didn't even think about how I'm going to get 128 people to the stations. So this year I focused on getting people where they need to be with out having them wait in lines all day.
It boiled down to getting a way to communicate with them with out having to see all and I came up with a great idea and system that will work. Well I hope so for the most part I started planing on this during my summer and made a notebook dedicated to SSBB. ^_^ |

I am sooo bringing body spray to spray people behind their backs. lol
BTW Hampton Inn still has room. Their computer system was messed up saying they were booked even online. :)

ya we should do a huge LAN the night before hell if anyone wants they can come to Elite Zone on friday night they are doing an all nighter and it's only 10 bucks.

Punisher, just saying for MW2 tourney. Last year it was already packed, and the hallways were horrible. It was hot and smelled like the kids running around hadn't showered in a week. |

There are quite a few places around if the Hampton Inn gets full. Plus any members of the military looking for a place to stay can try the lodging on Seymour Johnson AFB, though it isn't as close as the Hampton Inn, but its still a short drive. 15 minutes if you don't hit every light along the way...
