Yeah, promise not to bring up the tourney thing again. One really good thing about it is that it will cut down on confusion and havoc between rooms quite effectively. |

I remember watching the news of the second (i think) event while I was still in high school, and they showed the entire line. I couldn't believe how long it was, I got there before it even opened and the line was huge, but not that huge. At that time I didn't know they had a pre-reg line (I pre-registered that time >.>). I waited in that line for quite a while... Thankfully you guys pre-registered though. No huge lines for you!

I skipped 08, but when I went in 07 when this was G2E the line was halfway into the parking lot...pretty impressive, and I think bob 93.3 was there or something. A LOT of people showed for it, but things were a bit disorganized inside. I paid to enter a tournament that ended before I got there =/

hmmm, coming from a girl (who doesn't spend all her money on food ;]), i'd say the coupons and discounts are a great idea. free swag and such is cool, too.
and about those lines... all i've got to say is: LADIES FIRST! :P

I still remember the krispy kreme coupon I won at the library somewhere.
Best coupon that I ever won. That box of doughnuts didn't even last a day. Also, (I can't tell the future, but...) if it's anything like it was in the last years, there won't even be a line for pre-reg's like you. You just get to go in. (Unless you decide to come before it even starts).

I love having two entrances. Best thing Tracy ever forced me to do :-)
Plus this pre-reg system is pimp. I just hope we break last years record number of pre-registered players by at least 50 people!
The more people that register now, the less that have to tax our computer resources the day of!

I don't know why more people don't pre-reg. it takes about 2 minutes and shaves off at least 20 minutes the day of. |

I'd have to disagree with that man. Most gamers I know are exceptional at managing money, it's just they have different priorities for spending it. :)
Lines are bad. Pre-Registering RAWKS. Nuff said.

Well, not everyone attending are hardcore gamers. You wouldn't believe how hard it is for some people to even figure out how to pre-register. And a lot of people are uncomfortable buying things online. It would benefit them greatly though, I wish they would take those few minutes to pre-register.

Pre-registering is a win-win-win situation. Benefits, less hassle the day you show up, and access to cool areas to gear you up for the tourney.
Leaves more time to have a policy debate with the hotel over why you can't get a good connection.

I wish the school allowed alcohol on campus, then we could offer a pre-registered users lounge complete with a comp. bar and EVERYONE would pre-reg! lol Of course we would be broke and all the pre-reg people would have some serious lag on their reaction times! lol

I've not had problems with the lines in the past.
Of course, I've only gone to one event and I was there quite early so I was, like, the fifth person in, but still. :)

haye, take a page out of the now defunt WSVG playbook. Offer a Sponsored Energy Drink Lounge. BAWLS did one at a LAN I was at... the best one by far was the Red Bull one... well, except for the annoying "Yay Viva Pinata!" Gamer Bunnies they had hired. There is not enough white spandex in the world apparently. :D

I'm worried about the fact that I bought my ticket online. you see, my mom used her credit card to buy the ticket and on the copy of the bill I have it says my mom bought the ticket. Will this be a problem or will I still be able to get in?
also, I printed out the permission form (I'm 16) and had my mom sign it, will that be accepted?
btw, I went the past two years, but this is my first time preregistering, which is why I'm nervous.

I'm so about to buy my ticket right now! I personally think tje event was awesome! Even though it was a little packed and impatient with the halo3 tourney. :) either way I absolutley loved it! (Would love shiny star by my name too that's always a plus) I have also been spreading the word at my college about CGS and I am recruiting more people to join in on the fun! |
