I didn't go last year because I didn't know about it until the last minute, but my question is can we enter more then one tournament this time or are we stuck doing one again. I know the last year I went I wanted to enter the 4v4 and the FFA of Halo 2 at that time but now I wonder if I am able to enter the 4v4 and the FFA of Halo 3? Thanks to anyone that can help. |

All the tournaments start at the same time, so you're pretty much limited to one. We wanted it so it wasn't like that, but we just don't have as much time as we need to spread out all the tournaments to make that easy. I guess it's possible to be in more than one tournament, but if you don't show up to a match, then you're disqualified. You'd have to really micromanage your schedule, and I don't know if you'd have all the details for that. So you'll probably only be able to sign up for one. You can free-play all you want for any of the games though. Badder than old King Kong, meaner than a junkyard dog.

You CAN register for as many tournaments as you want. The only thing that you need to do is make sure they are in the same room.
Halo FFA and Halo 4v4 are in the same room starting at two different times, so you can sign up for both!
Hope that helps! Feel free to purchase a ticket online and gain access to the tournament registration system.
It will make sure you do not sign up for conflicting tournaments! -= All your tournaments are belong to us =-

Alright, my 2009 impressions of CGS:
I played in the Super Smash Bros. tournament and ended up pissing away my whole day just waiting.
1.) There needs to be a better notification system [in regards of tournament competitors] next year.
2.) There still needs to be some kind of deodorant sponsor. A little smell-good spray on deodorant in the intrance handout bag would be perfect.
3.) In reference to the tournaments, there should be no talking rules, as with most other tournaments. All the chanting and yelling is distracting.
4.) If possible, some A/C would have be pleasant. I felt like I was in a hell simulator on the 2nd floor.
Other than the above, I had a moderately good time. Its not every day that I bump into such a variety of gamers -- talented ones at that! My only real complait was missing out on Entertainment System. Hopefully, Street Fighter IV will be one of next year's tourneys. And if anyone (officials, moderators of the event, etc.) is reading this, let me just give a special thanks for contributing to such a great job. |

I played in the Smash Bros. Tourney and here are some of my thoughts.
1.The wait was just too long.
2.If you go somewhere and call your name there is almost no way you'll play. They need to have a better system with this. There was no bracket posted on a wall or anything >_>
3.The people playing all had skill. Its nice to know that im pretty good at Smash.
4.It was pretty fun.
I hope to see Brawl back next year. I'm definitely returning if its coming back. ^_^ |

I agree with these two.
Once the losers brackets cleared out a bit and got rolling it was fun. I think part of he problem was using that small hallway for a lobby for 120ish people was just bad. Not to mention the people from other events out there adding to the confusion. Also the organization was pretty bad, next time as a possible suggestion print out pairing for then next round but only allow certain ones into the room at a time. I think that would be more effective than have one or two staff members walking around shouting someones screen name who isn't there or can't pronounce it. Another thought is instead of giving shouting screen names it may have just been move effective to give each player a number.
Also if you could use slips of paper with both opponents on it to sign for the winner may work better since I heard of at least 3 cases where someone got a forfeit win and the person who never showed up got the win. My friend was one of these people and he had to wait 6 hours to play a game of brawl. My other friend who couldn't make it (something came up) and I told one of the organizers he wasn't here got called for the losers bracket. This was a waste of time he should have been dropped and most likely he was one of these forfeited players who actually got a mix up win.
Overall the competition was great, turnout was great, but for a 10$ entry fee, no cash prizes, an hour drive and I couldn't sign up for another event I am still undecided on whether or not I am coming back next year. |

YES your right. Next year a communication system will be used so you all know when your up before hand. What that system is I don't know yet, but I will have something in place that will be VERY effective. I dont like to make the same mistakes twice and I wont come 2010
But thanks for putting up with me I didn't have a way to let you know when you were needed. Besides that how were the rules? I figured they were ok, but I'll be reviewing them along with the system needed to be placed |

The rules were fair from what I could tell. |
