So guys, the updated map pool will be this, if everything is acceptable. These maps are a combination of the Dallas and Orlando MLG map pool. If there are no problems, this will be the map selection.
Metalopolis
Shakuras Plateau
Xel’Naga Caverns
Ohana
Tal’darim Altar
Antiga Shipyard
Dual Sight
Rules will still be standard. Brackets will be posted soon. Preregistration is also open and available, so make sure to sign up.
Let me know if you have any questions guys. -

The only problem is that the last time MLG was in Orlando was in 2011, and there have been a lot of balance changes since then which have affected maps. For example, Metropolis was introduced to replace Metalopolis because it was such a Zerg favored map even with no close spawns enabled. Xel'Naga Caverns is another map that has since been replaced due to balance issues.

It is true that Metalopolis hasn't been used in tournaments since something like June, so I am fine with changing out Metalopolis for Metropolis LE. This being said, I'm switching out Xel'Naga Caverns. So Cloud Kingdom for Xel'Naga Caverns should be a fair trade.
So, the map pool will almost be exactly the same as the one used in Dallas.
Metropolis
Shakuras Plateau
Cloud Kingdom
Ohana
Tal’darim Altar
Antiga Shipyard
Dual Sight
After the welcomed feedback I find this final map pool is most balanced. I believe this will be fair for the tournament thank you for the feed back I welcome it. -

Glad you appreciate the feedback, it's shaping up to be a fun tournament! Just got a couple of questions about it now. Will we be allowed to use our own mice and keyboards, and do we need to bring our own earphones or headsets for sound? Protoss - My Life for Aiur!

Yes, to both of those questions. Bringing your own headphones is a good idea, and as far as bringing your own keyboard/mouse goes, be my guest.
