Are we going to be allowed to use our own equipment for this tournament? i.e mouse, mousepad, keyboard, and headset? |

Hey there,
I'm looking to send a team from UNCC to play but had a quick question on set-ups for the event. You said that gear will be provided and controllers are allowed to be brought. Does that hold true for mice/keyboard? |

Hello,
yes Mice and Keyboards will be provided along with Headsets for the tournaments.
If a participant wishes to bring their own gear, it is subject to inspection by the tournament director and must follow the guidelines set forth by them.

I am trying to put together a team for this tournament but have noticed a few issues with the rule set.
-Killfeed is both disabled (off) and enabled (on) in the rules. It contradicts itself however there is no reason for the killfeed to be disabled.
-Control game mode format is currently set to best of 1. This is typically best of 5 in competitive play. A best of 1 in control makes no sense.
-High bandwidth is set to 'off' in the rules. Is this tournament intended to be over LAN? If not there will be latency issues if high bandwidth is off.
-A couple of map settings are wonky without reason -- currently the rules are listed as "Map rotation: after a mirror match" and "Return to Lobby: After a Mirror Match" while both would be better suited to be set to "After game".
-The new map Oasis is missing from the map list. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not however the map has been out for several weeks now so there is no reason to exclude it from play.
All that being said, the tournament is currently listed as single elimination best of 1. It is also slated for an 8 hour time slot on Sunday. Games will move VERY fast as single elimination best of 1 -- even with 16 teams registered. I think the tournament should at least be double elimination if you want to keep the "best of 1, best of 3 in finals".
Thanks for reading all this and thanks for the event! |

Hello, we are aware that the current rule set does not make sense. It is a current place holder until the Tournament Director updates them.
If no updates are made the rules will be announced at the event before the tournament.
Apologies for the confusion. |

As a coach I typically am able to talk with the team via voice comms or in person prior to a match. I know this may be a bit extra to some, but I would like to treat this event as I would any. What are the rules if any for having a coach in the same room/area? |

You may be in the area with your teammates, but you must not distract any other players or be disruptive yourself.
We do not mind spectators or coaches/team members speaking to one another.
Thank You |

Are we able to add sub players to the team or coach roles? Or is the limit six and for players only? |

6 players on a team, no more no less. If you have a 'coach' they may be in the spectator area with your team, but they must not disrupt the tournament or other players. When you arrive at the tournament area, if you have any questions you may ask the Tournament Director for more information. |
