Game Play
All matches for this competition are expected to be played at the scheduled match time. Tournament start and approximate end times are listed on the tournament page.
Players that do not place the top X amount of players in a Free for All (Group) will be eliminated from the competition.

All teams/players have a 10 minute grace period from the match scheduled time to show up and play their match. If a team does not show up by the end of this grace period, they will forfeit with a no show.

Teams have 10 minutes between each round. If a team/player goes over this grace period, please follow the above steps for support.

Teams may not play shorthanded.

No warm-up or practice Games are permitted once the first tournament match has begun. If a match is played before the scheduled time, it will not be considered a warm-up and will count as the official scores.

Heats will either be set up for 6 or 8 players depending on the amount of eligible players at the end of the registration period. Top 3 will advance if the heats are set up for 6 players. Top 4 players will advance if the heats are set up for 8 players.

This is a Free for All tournament. It will be considered cheating if any players are found colluding to manipulate the outcome and will be suspended from the site.

When you join the lobby it is assumed you are ready to play. Once all players are in a lobby the game may be started at any time.

If the host drops the game or if players leave before the heat is over, those offending players risk being disqualified for unsportsman like conduct.

If a player lags out during the first 30 second or before the first kill the map should be restarted. If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds or the first kill the map will continue and the player who dropped may rejoin the game.

If there is a tie in score, we will go by total score > most kills > least deaths > highest kill streak > coin flip

Players not on any of the teams' rosters should not be allowed into the private match lobby at any time. If a player not listed on a team's roster joins the match or disrupts the game play or does not leave in a timely manner, the host should end the game.

Any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, unsportsmanlike behavior, or use of restricted items is forbidden. These offenses are subject to the penalties listed in the Penalties Section of this rules page. Please contact Online Tournament Support via Live Support to receive assistance with these issues.

Hosting
Hosting refers to the team that creates a Private match lobby. The team “hosts” the Map by creating the Private match lobby and creating the custom game in accordance with the information on the match page and this rules page. On many games, the individual player that created the room also often hosts the game on his/her connection. On other games, the connection is hosted by in-game servers. Please note that the use of the term “Host” below applies to the individual that creates the Custom Game Lobby.

The team seeds are done in ascending order. Seed one is the highest seed. (Example: Bracket Seed ten (10) is a higher seed than twenty (20).

In a Group tournament, the higher seeded team must host the Map. If all the players in that heat cannot connect to the designated host or the connection is not stable for all players, the next higher seeded player should attempt to host. This will continue until a suitable host is found or a Staff Member neutral hosts the game.

We highly suggest that a lag test be performed before the start of each map. If a lag test is not performed, it will be implied that all players agree the host is acceptable to play on.

Once gameplay has begun, the host may not end the game. The only exception is if a player lags out/loses connection to the server or if an outside player joins and disrupts the match.

Reporting

At least one member of each Team should take a Screenshot(s) of each Round’s/Game’s results in case proof is needed for a dispute. Screenshots should contain the Round Score, Players on each Team, and a time stamp.

In order to dispute Game results, Players/Teams must notify a Tournament Official that they would like to Protest the Game before a new Game has begun. In order to dispute Match results, Players/Teams must notify a Tournament Official that they would like to Protest the Match no longer than 10 minutes after the end of the Match. If a Tournament Official isn’t immediately available, you must submit a Ticket no longer than 15 minutes after the end of the Match.

Teams may request that they be allowed to concede victory of a Game. Teams may request that their opponent not receive a Forfeit penalty.

For all cheating claims, the burden of proof is on the accuser.
