That's BS! Parents don't know how to work a controller? They are just to lazy to set the parental controls. If all else fails...if someone gives you problems then use the sweet ole mute option. WOW...is that so hard? It's just another excuse to blame something other than bad parenting. |

Most of that wasn't really video game trash talk, it was just normal trash talk. They can hear that anywhere. Video game trash talk is like "Why are you trying? It's useless, I'm Hard To Kill!" or "You had a rocket launcher and you STILL couldn't kill me! You suck so bad!" That was just insults that didn't correlate with the game. Of course there are words that are used that shouldn't be in game trash talk, but I bet that was a lot harder for them to find. As the case for their parents not knowing about the website or knowing how to use the controller, first they should research the things they buy for their kids, if their kids bought it, then they should pay attention to what they buy. Secondly they should know there is a booklet in every video game case explaining the controls for whatever game, and also there is usually instructions of those type of things in the actual game systems box. Complete oversight for them. Also to note, maybe they should play with their kids a little bit more, then besides knowing how to work the darned device from heck, they'll know more about what's going on otherwise.

Here's how you keep it from influencing your children... TEACH THEM NOT TO DO THE SAME CRAP! It's why parents over 2 millenia ago invented spanking! |
