What type controllers do we have to bring? what if we have wireless? which lot of us probably do.

I am going to email all tournament directors and see what they say. I do not think this will be a big problem. We mostly have wired controllers but I can imagine for XBOX 360 it may become a problem.

Hopefully we will have enough controllers that you can just use ours but it is good to bring yours just in case.

I believe the CoD4 and UT3 tournaments are for PC. Can you give us any details on those? Team or free for all? Because I have some friends that play CoD4 on the xbox, can they use a controller adapter for the PC so they can use an xbox controller?

Also, is there any way we can use our own mice and headphones? My mouse is wireless and uses a dongle to connect to the mouse. The headphones are bluetooth and use a bluetooth dongle.

Got some bad news on the COD4 and UT3 tournaments.

At the very last minute the high end PC sponsors backed out so we have absolutely NO nice computers in the building.

I was extremely dissapointed with this and there was basically nothing we could do about it.

I just hope for next year they come back.

We will still have our staple Quake III Arena 2v2 and StarCraft Brood Wars tournaments per usual.

Also we will have America's Army PCs setup in the room where the High End PCs were last year!

We have a very good plan to tackle the lack of PC tournaments issue for next year. However for this year there is just nothing I can do.

Sorry everyone, I have removed COD4 and UT3 from the tournament lists.

Man, I am bummed about this just as much as the guys that would be playing in the tournaments!

Hmm... Oh well, something will have to work on for next year.

Mans working hard enough don't you think? putting this all together for us nerds...that being said. If there are not going to be any high end pcs brought by a sponsored company. Then for those of us that have decent gaming computers, may we have the room to set up in? Ensuring a firm/signed agreement (IF YOU BRING IT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT) policy! I think that would be nice and to be honest i would like to help out with that project if the idea takes off.

We wanted to do BYOC this year, but we decided about 2 months ago to table the idea until we could do a proper job aka more than 20 BYOC pcs max.

SOooooOO :-) I really can't say much but for next year we "should" have BYOC along with lots and lots of rooms full of High End PCs.

Basically we hope to have an entire building dedicated to PC gaming. Plus the usual building dedicated to Console gaming...

We will see if we can make it happen by next year, it really just depends on how well this event goes.

If you haven't noticed or attended a past event, we don't usually do things small it is all or nothing. So when we realized the dedicated PC building just wasn't going to be ready for the 2008 event we tabled the idea until 2009.

Kind of like we had to do with the two days we planned to have for this year.

Still we are pleased with how this year is turning out, it will really allow us to grow and have an even better event next year.

I know it seems silly to plan this far ahead but honestly that is what you need to do.

A building dedicated to the PC. I like that idea. BYOC... I like that too. I've got two I could bring in. First an alienware then the one I custom built.

Really I don't feel a difference in PC gaming and Console gaming. The only difference is a mouse, keyboard, and a controller, and even then you can hook up a controller to your PC. A PC to me is just a console that has internet, and installable games. And Word, Excel, and other programs.
That being said...
I think a seperate building for both PC games and Console games sounds really cool! Though I have no idea what a BYOC is, unless it's an acronym for a specific PC.
