I think a lot of people would be interested, but might not be looking at this site. If you check around January, or late December, then you'll have a whole lot of input since the event will be around that time. Badder than old King Kong, meaner than a junkyard dog.

I have Yang. I post on there fairly regularly. It's hard to get any pertinent information across when you have to wade through the flames there though. That place has become an egofest in recent years. |

I am interested... but what games will be going on... I play CS:S, TF2, pretty mucht the Source games, Gears of War PC, and Halo 2 PC... I am looking to expand that category currently but my current set up is a Intel Dual Core E1240 Processor, 2Gigs PNY RAM at 800mhz, with an 8500GT Fatal1ty Edition GPU.... anyone might who might be able to tell me and upgrades I could do would be appreciated (I know the processor needs and upgrading for sure)... btw LGA 775 Socket 65nm Chips only....
Also quick PC question if I want a processor and Tiger Direct only has it at 1066mhz speed but my comp runs at 800mhz will the proccessor downgrade to that speed or is it just not possible to run it at all on that mobo... THX |

Things are resurrected easily enough. All it takes is someone to say HEY!! I'm going to have a throw down at my house on this date. Planning on playing this game until everyone passes out or goes home. Post here if you want an invite. |

We need a place to LAN regulary. Like at least once a month, and not just Gamefrog because that gets expensive. I know someone has to have a big house and is lonely lol. I can get a few people to go with me almost everytime |

Yea, those guys at LagLessLAN are probably not around anymore... Slackers! They should get to work on another LAN! |

Treader's right! Those guys are being lazy and just don't want to do LANs!
Truth is, like all other things in life it's about money. We aren't out to make any (or are we...), but we don't want to lose any either. It's hard to find a location that is suitable for a LAN, that we can be assured not to lose money. You would think that pre-pay/pre-reg would solve this problem, but it doesn't always. We usually have to reserve the space pretty well in advance, and most places don't like being canceled on at the last minute.
Also, we are limited in our options as we like to keep entry fees low. We haven't done anything consistently enough, or been large enough in the past, to facilitate nice prizes either.
If we can find a suitable location in the Raleigh area, and can ensure enough pre-paid people to cover costs; we will certainly start something up again. |

LANs are hell to plan, and even worse to pull off. I've attended large and small scale ones... and I know they take time and money to work out.
However, you are right. If there was a local LAN center that would let you book it for every 3rd Thursday or something... you could have a Continuous LAN. Monthly meet-and-greet.
If I ever win the lottery, I am opening up a LAN center... a huge one, with a MasterChief DayCare in the back, and a MelodicMetal bar in the front. :) And it shall be in Concord, NC. So pray I win the lottery. Bleed for Peace

Good to know I'm not the only one with that dream. (Minus the daycare part, but now that you mention it... it's probably a good idea since a lot of gamers are starting to become parents... OMG IT COULD HAPPEN TO ME!!! That's it!!! I'm leaving the country! I won't let it happen to me!! |

I hope you win the lottery too.
I hope I win the lottery too, too. But I'm not making a Lan Center. I'm probably just gonna buy a whole bunch of crap, then use the rest for life expenses. Badder than old King Kong, meaner than a junkyard dog.
