What are the highlights of CGS? Is there an open game room or just tournaments and panels?

I can't find any information about it on the site.

I've been planning on going this year but it all depends on what is available.

There are lots of freeplay and other opportunities. We are working on a new site design to make it a little more obvious just what the event is about. I would suggest reading the latest press release (available in the news section) Titled "Carolina Games Summit Announces Keynote Speakers"
