Will you have capture cards to actually get some clips together and stuff, because it would be amazing if you guys did like a top 10 of Halo 3 clips or something and showed it at the award ceremony. I have a cap card and one of my teammates has one too. We could capture it and everything or we could bring the software so that someone that has editing software could use it. It would be really awesome plus it might look nice if you guys had your on little top 10 thing. Maybe get more sponsors like MLG has. |

If anyone wants to film or capture anything and it does not get in the way of running the tournament I am all for it.
Each Tournament Director is supposed to really own their room and make sure things like this happen, but only a few have access to cameras and capture devices so we'll see what all happens.
The awards ceremony is going to be very different this year. I think you will be amazed :-)
If you capture anything please mail us a copy on DVD so we can get as high a quality copy as possible. We will not need it for the awards ceremony however, we have all that under control!!!

Halo frags = zzzzz
but seriously, that would take too much time and work. maybe have a highlights video of all the games a week or 2 after the event, but an hour or 2 after the event isn't enough time to pick out the frags and capture them, then encode them, etc, as encoding alone would take more than 2 hours to do. |

I'll try to bring my camera, it doesn't quite record HD but comes close at 60 fps, which is good for filming games. I'd mostly be taking stuff in the 2D room. |

i can say that having a cap card may just cause some trouble bc the tourney is already on a strict time schedule and thats something that u will have to hook up, and also the past couple of years they only let the 2 teams that were playing in the room, which I think shouldnt be!
I had a Dazzle 150 until it died a couple months ago, and I have to say that when i ran the 360 through the cap card that quality on tv was terrible, I really dont want to play on a tv that has terrible quality
I can say that if u want to bring a Memory card u could save games on the mem card and then cap them later, send the final version of whatever u come up with to Mr Everett
With all that being said, Capturing the games and clips would be cool, but i just dont think it is logical, my 2cents AIM- Professorpwns

I wouldnt record till after the event was actually over. I would just save the film then cap it later is all. Not actually waste time during the tourney. |

you mean have demos of all the games, right?
I think that any game with demorec capabilities (starcraft, warcraft, UT, halo 3, etc) should be recording a demo, that way there's more content for whoever makes the videos to work with.

A demo umm not exactly. I am referring to a Top 10 plays type thing, and maybe like the match of the tourney from the best P.O.V. this is all from Halo 3 for me because I am not taking my cap card into another room then where I am. I think it would be smart to at least capture some things from the other tourneys tho. The thing is though others will have to bring their cap cards or cameras because I will not allow my cap card to go out of my sight. |

If you can record the footage I will be happy to throw a video together. I did a video for the CGS last year, and I plan on making another. It captured a wide variety of gameplay as well as awesome things at the event. Let me link you... I wish I could of linked you to the video directly, but I'm not as familiar with the Video on Demand as I would like. But the video is there, tell me what you think.

I will let you know, I am mainly going to be capturing stuff for the Halo 3 room because that is where I will be, but if someone else capture some stuff from the other rooms you might be able to put stuff together. I think that a top 10 plays thing from the Halo 3 room though would be an amazing way to draw a bigger crowd for the next year. Because they would see that the level of competition is actually good and they would come and want to compete. |

Same Idea here for brawl, I wanted to make a video with lots of skilled player footage, and post the finals on the site. |
